Rick Rorie, SUDP Executive Director

Rick Rorie, SUDP is the Executive Director of Royal Life Centers‘ inpatient and outpatient addiction treatment programs in eastern Washington. Within his role, Rick is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Mead outpatient program, as well as our Spokane detox and residential programs. His role includes ensuring the effectiveness of groups and clinical practices, providing support and guidance to BHT staff and supervisors, introducing new programs, and actively engaging with clients to ensure their treatment needs are met. With experience dating back to 2008, Rick has worked in various capacities in substance use treatment, such as Program and Clinical Director, SUD Counselor, Residential Treatment Specialist, and Group Facilitator. He holds certifications in Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and has received training in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), and working with gang-affiliated clients.

Rick’s personal journey with addiction fuels his interest in substance use treatment. He firmly believes in the power of equipping individuals with the right tools, stating that “we do recover.” His dedication lies in assisting clients in acquiring these essential tools. Rick finds immense fulfillment in witnessing individuals who have endured prolonged suffering and loss due to addiction finally finding relief from its grasp. In his leisure time, he enjoys sports, working out, and spending quality moments with his dog, Vincent.

I attended the 12 week program and am now attending outpatient. There isn't a better treatment facility anywhere. I would absolutely recommend this facility to anyone and everyone looking to not only better their lives but learn how to actually enjoy life again without drugs or alcohol. I entered recovery on Feb 16th, at the Sumner location, and they took my Apple Health Insurance. I completed the program on March 4th, and I am going to stay at their 12-week, follow up program. The cafeteria is stocked with everything from nachos, a soda fountain, ice cream, pudding, cup of noodle, cheese sticks, grape juice... The works. The cafeteria looks like a convenience store of snacks. The team here is great and respectful, and they medical detox you, so you won't experience withdrawals.
